The main objective of the project is gathering all relevant data on public buildings, with emphasis on schools and kindergartens, which will enable their structuring and assessment based on energy performance criteria, and formulation of refurbishment strategies. The project is led by GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) within the Energy efficiency in public buildings project in Serbia, in cooperation with Ministry of Mining and Energy, Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and University of Belgrade. Also, included partners are Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and Regional Economic Development Agencies. EmBuild project relies on the process of data acquisition performed through this project, within the municiplaities we collaborate with.
Kick-off meetings of the research project Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in Serbia - Acquisition of energy related data of public buildings in Serbia were held in Belgrade and Novi Sad. The event in Belgrade was held on the 29th of September in Hotel Metropol Palace. With intention to gather stakeholders from all 169 cities and municipalities of Serbia, 174 people were invited to attend this event, while around 80 people attended it. The event in Novi Sad took place in The Assembly of APV, The Banovina Palace Building on 3rd of October 2016, and 57 stakeholders from Vojvodina region attended.
